福建省教师招聘考试网整理推荐:《Making a Difference》

英语学科与数理化不同,英语属于语言教育。由于英语学习是记忆与实践的紧密结合体,那英语的教案设计也尤为重要,福建省教师招聘考试网整理了《Making a Difference》教案,整理如下:

【Teaching Aims】

1.Learn and master the useful words and phrases.

2.Train the students' reading ability.

3.Let the students learn from Stephen Hawking.

【Teaching Important Points】

1.Master the following phrases and sentence pattern:

  work on, go by, be engaged to, go on with  sth. ,dream of, turn out

  There is no point (in) doing sth.

2.Enable the students to understand the text better.

3.Improve the students’ reading ability. 

【Teaching Difficult Points】

1.How to make the students understand the reading text better.

2.How to make the students understand the following sentence. There didn't seem much point in working on the PhD.
Teaching Procedures :

Step I Class Opening

Greet the students and have a free talk with them.

Step II Review

Show some exercises on the PPT and then check the answers.

Check homework.

Step III New Concepts

1.Lead-in

Ask the students two questions, and let them think them over, then try to answer them.

2.New words

Read and repeat, make sure everyone can read the new words.

3.Listening

Play the audiotape. Let the students listen to the tape and write true or false. Then check the answers as a class.

4.Reading.

Ask students to read the text twice and fill in the blanks.

5.Language points

Explain the language points.

(1)give up意为“放弃”,与stop同义。

e.g: We will never give up our dreams.

I need to tell my father to give up smoking.

(2)make a difference 意为“有所不同,有所影响,有所作为”。

e.g: One more try may make a difference.

Do all your best, and you will make a difference!

(3)make sth. for sb.意为“为某人制作/创造某物”,也可以说成make sb sth.

e.g:Can you make some tea for me?=Can you make me some tea?

Jim’s mom made a big birthday cake for him.=Jim’s mom made him a big birthday cake.

(4)drop out of意为“退出,不参与”。

eg: His parents wanted him to drop out of school.

Do you know why those students dropped out of the college?

(5)in the future 在将来

Step IV Practice

Ask students to do Part 3 and Part 4 in the text book.

Step V Class Closing.

Summarize the lesson.

Homework

1.Remember the words and recite the text

2.Review the key points in this lesson

3.Finish off the exercises in Exercise Book

4.Preview the next lesson
